Since they have added user created mods, (which are awesome) I wonder when or if we will get more. There are most definitely more useful mods for gameplay that we could be using, instead of just buildings. I would love to have a mod that would allow us to have more tiles to build on rather than the standard 9. For me 9 tiles just isn't enough. I would be happy with 3-6 extra tiles. I understand that it's difficult to do on console, due to processing speeds, but I feel 3 extra tiles wouldn't cause any problems with game play, or speeds. I would also love to see a traffic mod, or an improved algorithm for traffic. Hopefully they'll add more mods in the future. We shall see. What user creator mods would you like to see in the future?

  • Cities: Skylines
  • Cities: Skylines - After Dark
  • Cities: Skylines - Snowfall
  • Hearts of Iron IV: Cadet
  • Cities: Skylines - Natural Disasters
  • Cities: Skylines - Mass Transit
  • Cities: Skylines - Green Cities
  • Cities: Skylines - Parklife
  • Cities: Skylines Industries
  • Cities: Skylines - Campus
The extra tiles are probably only possible on the Pro or the Xbox One X, but I believe they should definitely do that.

Furthermore, I'm really a bit disappointed in the mods. I would love to see 2-lane highways or 6-lane roads with tram tracks or 3-lane one-way streets, above ground metro lines, custom train vehicles, custom train stations, custom bridges or even custom highway tunnels.

Alot of those work on PC and I realize porting those assets can be really tricky, but the mods we have now are really light and primarily useless.

I dont believe this is limited only by the HW power. There are also some limitations in the engine itself (data types, etc). And these limits how many agents the game can handle at ones (number of cars and pedestriands moving in your city at the same time). And this basically limits the size of the city, because if you use the same amount of cars for 3x bigger city, it may break the game (most of the people will not be able to travel, most of the goods wont be delivered,...). So Im sure it is very easy to unlock more tiles. But it is very difficult to keep the game balanced with it. For this reason I dont beleive this will be officially supported.

You are right. But it also depends on how much the engine was changed by porting it from PC to Xbox and PS4. The Vanilla PC uses 25 tiles, so if the engine uses the same agent limits, the theoretical cap would be 25 tiles without having a shortage of 'agents'.

Also, I really mean that even if they would consider it, because I believe the agent limit isn't an issue, they should really only do it on the Pro and the One X. My original Xbox One is already struggling with Natural Disasters on 9 tiles, let alone Mass Transit on 12.

The main mod I would like would be the traffic management one. Traffic lights / Stop Signs and lane management etc.

Another would be the ability to fine tune road placement after they have been placed.

No idea how easy these would be to implement, or if they are indeed part of the upcoming Mass Transit DLC (?) but these would improve my experience anyway.

Oh my god, I completely forgot traffic management. Yes please, let us manage lane changing, lights and stop signs. Pretty please?

I'm not sure what it takes to implement mods and processing power I just play games however if possible I would like to see more mods such as pollution, death, fire mods or faster speed just a little bit would go a long way I know it could be considered cheating but it would bring alot more value to the game to have perfect cities or even insta build pc has perfect mods games like this make me want sell my Xbox and get a really good pc but are there future plans or have they moved on? Sorry for long post

I see all the mod content and new DLC 's on the Pc version, and wish I could afford a gaming pc so I could enjoy it all. All the suggestions so far have been great.

I have to agree with traffic management as well, especially lane changing, and turning. It gets extremely frustrating at times with left hand turns.

I'm really hoping after the mass transit dlc we can get green cities and park life. Those two dlc packs look awesome, and could go a long way making out console cities look better!
