I'm a Cities Skylines newbie and I just got the game together with Mass Transit. I couldnt find an answer to my question if the FAQ section so apologies in advance if I missed out seeing it asked anywhere else.

Are the new "mass transit" additions like the blimps and monorails etc only available in the Mass-Transit enabled maps such as Seven Lakes ? ( i.e map names with the "mass transit" logo beside it)

and secondly, if so how do I differentiate "mass transit" enabled maps in the steam workshop if I were to try out new custom maps as I dont see an

No. You can use any of the new stuff on any map.

i think that just indicates in which DLC those maps were added to the game. for instance i have Natural Disasters too and i have three maps with the ND icon next to them, if you can't see these map then you don't have ND.

Snowfall introduced a new map theme, Winter, which has lots of buildings and services that only function on maps with that theme, yes. However, it's kind of logical, as you don't need snowplows or a sleigh ride on a tropical map. However, Snowfall trams, like the new modes of transportation in MT, can be used on all maps. Also, the Road Maintenance service from Snowfall works on all maps, but I'm not sure whether that was in the free update.

ah...so snow only happens in the winter themed maps :( thanks Turjan for the explanation...I was hoping for there to be like some seasonal aspect to the gameplay like having it snow at times..I hope Paradox releases a Seasons dlc update or something
