if there are quite a few weeks to go for the DLC:

They did say they would do dev diaries about it every two weeks, and maybe weekly when they got closer to the release date. So I would say yes, there will be quite a few weeks before release.

So... it is not too late to ask for features like double decker roads/bridges tools and sunken roads tools ?

You can try, but they had all major things planned out when they (CO) pitched this DLC to Paradox. Unless something is pretty simple, it is unlikely to be added. I can't speak for CO though. Never hurts to ask. (Well, unless you ask someone to hurt you. I suppose. So I guess never is really not the right word.)

I would like to request that the Dev's add into this DLC a reduction of the incessant forest fires and random fires that happen with the Disaster DLC. It's way too much and they even occur if you have disasters turned off. It is really annoying, especially in regular game play! The only places on earth where forest fires are that common are desert areas and arid climates! I live in a temperate area in the US and we have lots of wooded and forest areas and we rarely have fire issues, unless there's an extended period of drought. The fires occur way too often in the game and I would like to see a reduction or at least have the forest fires turn off with the random disaster button! I hope I'm not alone here...other readers please agree if you think I'm right. I love the disasters, but there times I just want to build my city and the big fires happen just too often and shouldn't if I have disasters turned off!

This is related to the fire spread mechanism and I agree, it's a bit unbalanced. Fire spreads to and between buildings too rapidly if they're next to an even moderately dense forest.

Agreed, and this should be a reletively easy thing to tweak. I can see that players demanded certain kind of challenge but the speed the fire spreads is currently just ridiculous. I live in a constant fear that my super detailed areas burn down, even though I have dozens of fire helicopters and fire stations... :D

I very much agree! I'm currently using a mod to turn off fire spread to trees because it's just too out of control. I have alot of nicely detailed areas, so for me every time a house catches fire the whole district starts burning, which lags the game to hell! I'm 100% fine dealing with fire spreading from house to house, I have proper fire coverage to deal with that. But with the trees it doesn't matter how many helicopter depots I've got, they never manage to contain the fire (it's only "contained" when there's no more trees close by) and I end up with the game running at 1 fps (because of the many trees on fire). It isn't fun, challenging or realistic - it's just frustrating. :/

Livestream recording from EGX Rezzed with @Co_Karoliina

Expansion related gameplay starts at 22:55, everything before that will be included in the free patch (save for those new maps that are tagged, I believe). There are also some features during the expansion gameplay that Karoliina mentions being part of the free patch, such as more highway types.

Awesome. Loving it so far. Shaping up to be the best DLC yet.

Making pathways for the ferries should allow us to steer them between bridge supports. Yay!

Covered bridge on dirt road is sweet.

Stop sign/traffic light thing is nice. Still wish for road arrows to be adjustable (left/straight/right), mostly to prevent left turns (right turns for you folks on the other side of the road) in certain places.

Wish the road tools showed a measure of distance as well as angles.

Still need "UNBUNCHING" for all transport vehicles. Please!

In post above, Youtube play button partially obscures the "M" in "Mass". :)

on 22:18 it seems that the road names, which are lying on the streets, are not on the streets, because on the upper right, the car drives between the road and the road name :D

THANK YOU for posting the video!

LOVE the monorail on the road-centre, and the monorail-bus station looks especially good.
FERRIES great! BLIMPS look interesting.
TRAFFIC controls in the main game, lovely jubly.
Those NODES on the roads will be very useful when joining roads, as even with 1100+ hours on CS, this is a irritant. Well it was...

PROBABLY too late to request:

FREIGHT trains running underground like the metro would be very useful I think. I mean separately from the passenger lines.

OVERALL.... You get an A+, WELL DONE CO!

EDIT:
Feature Request.............. I'm sure many guys have favourite maps, but now of course with the new DLC, possibly these maps will not work with the new DLC as they won't have the features added.

Would it be possible for a MAP PACK to be released which would contain all the necessary classes or dll's to turn older maps into functioning Mass Transit Maps?

The upcoming patch will not remove anything from the base game, so I don't understand how older maps wouldn't be compatible with Mass Transit. Tagged maps are just additional content for expansions, not functionally separate.

My number 1 mass transit request is..... LESS TRUCKS. Like almost all my cities I ever build, almost all traffic problems from train traffic to road traffic is all caused by having too many trucks. I realize I could just build offices and use industry less often, but that is boring to me. I just want fewer trucks to spawn, please. You can even go ahead and increase the amount of car traffic that is fine with me since their is so many options to move people around.

This stuff is hard to assess without seeing the city itself, but my truck traffic has always been manageable despite of quite a lot of imports/exports. It's mostly a matter of keeping things moving.
