Hi there!

We were meaning to cover Cities Skylines on our modest platform, and for many of the graphic pieces I would need the Cities Skylines logo, which I do find here and there but never in a resolution hight enough to crop it or - better yet - a transparent PNG.

Is there any press kit or transparent hi-res logo available to use? If so, I would much appreciate a file or link.

Thank you!

You know what would be nice, Something that can be used as part of your signature on Forums, based on a screenshot showing an actual city made in the game.

Maybe that's something for when it's further down the development path.

We're not to keen on image signatures, though...

Hey guys!

First off, I'd like to apologize for necroposting, but I had to, because I also needed to apologize for never replying back!

I am used to work with Maxis games and rule is you get not even a life signal from them, so I forgot after I made the post. You guys are a nice change of pace :D

We finally got around covering Cities Skylines on our website, and glad to find you guys moved super quickly and got a bunch of assets together! And thank you, those are beautiful, big, transparent graphics. Love it.

@TotalyMoo
Since you ask, the only asset I was missing (but I made it anyways, out of the transparent logo) was a silhouette-only version (black & white if you may). If you can update it with it, that'd be nice, as some places require less busy art (like our navigation on the top).

@wakko2k
Indeed! Here it is being used in our website: http://simnation.tv/

Although I will post soon another thread with the video announcement, inviting anyone who wants to join us there. Please don't take it as double posting guys :D

That is all. Thank you again. Cheers!

Haha! Well, I thought that if you had the original files, you could just extract the shape. Unless that was a 3D render but doesn't seem like it.

In any case, this is the one I extracted :). Works fine for smaller resolutions.

Uh oh xD

Well what I did was, on Photoshop, use the Brush Magic Wand (not the regular one), adjusted the tolerance (I think it was 50?) and then started to paint with a 10-sized brush on the CITIES letters. Painting a bit, and releasing. So if you have to Undo, you don't go that far back.

Once I had that, I copied the image and immediately pasted it. Used cmd + L (ctrl + L on Windows) and moved one of the end points of the main color graph to the other side. That way, it ended up being single level of brightness (either black or white, depending which way to go).

Repeated process then with SKYLINES, and then once done, deleted the original logo and merged both with cmd + E (ctrl on Windows) and I think that was pretty much it.

Then cmd + I to resize it down to 50% so I would save a more lightweight, jagging-edges free version of it.

To be honest this is a fast method with average results. Jagged borders cannot be noticed if you use it on a small size (like I did) so for me was enough. You may want to "Refine edges..." at the top before copy/pasting what you just selected, to make sure edges are soft.

I could do that for you if you wish, too xP probably next week :)
