I'm so glad the new specializations (Self Sustaining Housing, Local and Organic Commercial, and IT Center Offices) all have levels and that at least the housing takes into account density. Hopefully CO or modders will take existing specializations (Industrial in vanilla, leisure & tourism commercial in After Dark) and allow them to have levels (and commercial to obey density).

I think leveling for existing specialisations are coming in too.

This expansion is nice but it should be better with trolleybuses. Trolleybuses are also very ecological. Why there isn't new specialization for industry (high-tech). These ideas should make a better dlc but I'm glad that there new game expansion.

are trolleybuses not sort of in already as trams?
no rails but mechanic wise they'd be the same no? youd still need lines so, tram tracks?
I think trolleybuses are easier to build than trams because of no tracks. The game is from Europe and there are lot of trolleybuses in Europe. Why can't they be in the game? Trolleybuses should be small diversification but the type of transport isn't so important in the end. ;)

they would work basically the same as buses and/or trams so adding them into the game would be completely pointless.

Looking up trolley buses, as I am not really familiar with them, they seem to be a cross between trams and buses. They seem to be too similar to either one to be really necessary. I just really don't see the point.

I'd love the fact that they have shown that also the new comercial buildings can actually produce goods in order to keep some other comercial buildings alive. Sounds like we can really reduce the traffic in this DLC.

As unfortunate as this may sound I think that this is the first big expansion in which we won't have an additional mode of public transportation.

What mode of public transportation was added in Natural Disasters?

Anyway, we've just had Mass Transit (which is fantastic!), and there are, by the looks of it, plenty of great features with or without more modes of transport. (You forgot to complain about the biofuel buses by the way)

Well... it's not really a transportation mode but helicopters got added.

While this all sounds great, it is consistently pushing the game towards a more "first-world" setting, not that it is a bad thing but still a bit weird. Electric cars aren't that common yet...but lets see how this goes. :)

In other city-building games I did use to create realistic run-down neighbourhoods, industrial ghetto blocks alongside factory areas, and poor villages on the outskirts of my main cities. Even when I didn't create them, the option to have them was always available (intentionally or not), along with realistic consequences tied to them (pollution, bad health and disease outbreaks, crime and riots, drop in ratings etc.).

This is also an opportunity to make modular parks and scenic spots for tourists and cims on a hiking trip. And, well, animals roaming around should be great too.

I do hope this DLC comes with more mechanisms and such. :)

I propose we dump it over the side of the Earth where it will disappear forever.

I saw a glimpse of the UI for one of the locally-produced commercial buildings and it looked like it had only 1 level (it used the blue house-shape with a star in it like existing specializations). I hope this is because the DLC didn't have all the commercial assets yet. I would be gravely disappointed if commercial and industrial specializations cannot get levels. It would be cool to see some cross-DLC content such as low-density hotels & motels and high-density nightclubs.

Well I'm wondering if the organic hippy dippy commercials will be one level, as really it may be all you need.

The Tourist stuff definitely needs to be levelled. Massive Trump Towers shouldn't appear straight away!
