But if they did that, people would complain that they are hiding essential features behind a pay wallAt this point I suspect you will never enhance and deepen the simulation. And I think I understand why. As long as there is no serious competition in the genre you can get away with releasing more and more of these nice-to-have, but non-essential gadgets. So you do until that time window closes.

I was under the impression that this system worked out. At least it is in place like this for a good while.
