I posted this on the steam forums but felt strongly it needed to be posted on the official forums as well 
I recently got access to a video capture tool and have been playing around with it a lot, recording let's plays in earnest. With the anniversary just around the corner and a new expansion later this month, I finally wanted to put to digital video something i've had in my head for a long time.
The piece of music has been in my head for over 10 years and I alternatively considered doing a similar video for Sim City 4 and Sim City 2013 (before it was released). Alas it didn't happen for those games. Cities: Skylines is to be the game that gets the tribute video that's been in my head for a decade.
Thank you to the developers, Colossal Order, the publisher Paradox, the modders (nlight/GULA) gosh so many more I can't name them all for a wonderful game.

P.S. due to the rights holder's restriction to the soundtrack of my tribute video, the video is monetized by the rights holders of the music. Per Youtube it is blocked in Germany due to their copyright restrictions. Sorry to my German friends.
