Call for Videos!
Attention Cities: Skylines community!
Cities is celebrating our sixth birthday soon! We are excited to hit this milestone and want to honor it with you! We are gathering videos from our players to commemorate the occasion to share on Paradox and Cities: Skylines social channels, and we want YOU!
To our community members 18 year of age and older, please send us an MP4 video file wishing Cities a happy birthday and telling us what you enjoy most about the game. These videos will ideally be between 5 – 10 seconds in length.
Example: “Happy birthday, Cities: Skylines! I love this game because I can interact with other players who share my passion for endless road construction!”
If you would like to wish Cities a happy birthday in languages other than English, that is fine. Any other content and comments should be in English so we can ensure the videos selected are appropriate.
Depending on how many submissions we receive, we might not be able to include every submission. Here are some tips on how to make your video submission shine:
- Use a webcam or if you have a good smartphone and want to use its camera, be sure to set the video quality to the highest resolution.
- Be thoughtful of the lighting. You need to be in a well-lit room, but not with the source of light behind you, like a window.
- Place yourself in the center of the screen -- not too close, not too far from the camera. The best option is to have your shoulders and chest in the middle of the frame.
- Be mindful of your background, both noise and visually. Make sure there is no other noise around you and that what is behind you is okay to be shared publicly.
- Speak clearly and at a good volume.
Where to send your video: citiescontent@paradoxinteractive.com
Please include your username in the email when you send the video. (If your video wishing happy birthday is in another language, please specify the language you’re speaking in as well!)
Due date: Sunday, January 24, 2021 or sooner!
By submitting your video to Paradox, you consent to Paradox use of the material, which include but is not limited to any promotion, advertising and other activities related to Paradox group or it's products. It is understood that the material may be used in print publications, online publications, presentations, websites, and social media as well as for other commercial use in perpetuity. It is further understood that the participation is voluntary and that no financial compensation of any type associated with the recording or publication of this Material, participation in Paradox’s marketing or other use by Paradox’s shall be given.
