Hello, I was just talking to my partner about the new announcement, and we figured we should drop a quick suggestion, if youre still taking them.
Basically, by the announcement page it seems that the city is going to unique characteristics based on the player's actions, and that it will have a fully functioning economy (which I assume will include goods/services production and consumption.) So we thought it might be really cool to have a soft form of a multiplayer feature optionally available. First off, the ability to trade goods and services between player-created cities if you choose, allowing us to support each other's growth and development.
The second, and the big one we would LOVE, would be the ability to showcase your city, and have others come and look around. Basically, if I were to check the box, then someone could load into my city as an observer and look it over. This wouldn't be live, but more like save-file swapping for the current game. They could open it up, watch time pass, watch things unfold, but it would be strictly in observation mode. And obviously, if you don't want anyone creeping, just disable the feature. I'm someone who spends insane hours on Cities Skylines creating realistic and asthetically beautiful cities, and I would love to see what other people build and develop as well.
I really hope that you guys take these suggestions and see them, and that something like this might be within reason for your development schedule.
Thank you for all the hours I've enjoyed Cities: Skylines, I really look forward to seeing what the next generation is going to be like!
