Yet another idea that came to my mind when I was sitting on the toilet :p We should be able to build underpasses. Let's say we have a wide street/avenue with a high level of traffic, and we have bus/tram stops on both sides of the street - it would somehow make it easier for passengers to get to the right bus/tram/whatever mean of transportation if we built an underpass :) And that way we could also connect other things, like maybe a metro platform to another platform, or a street, etc. - there are plenty of possibilities :)
Good Idea!

PLEASE reconsider the whole "wider roads attracts bigger buildings" mechanic as this is not true at all in real life and is one of the worst aspects of the new simcity.

Look at any dense downtown in Europe or North america, downtown, specially in older cities, is generally a dense grid of small and medium streets with a few large avenues here and there. The suburbs are generally where you find all the huge arterials feeding into terrible subdivisions.

Please please please consider some sort of other mechanic. Land value effects building height/size, roads have nothing to do with it. Horrible traffic in an area will harm land value. You guys have to be able to come up with some better mechanic. Let us "zone" areas to restrict or encourage certain uses, this is extremely key for any transport planner. I beg you!

"Zoning" is another bad aspect of SimCity. I think a city center should automatically be generated based on the cims' desires (where do they expect workplaces, etc.) and our transport services - usually, from a small town, a huge city centre should grow near a big transport hub.

Perhaps not 'zone' the density or land value (it's not a city planner), but yeah, I agree with your point with the density-determining roads. Besides, the majority of roads in Cities in Motion 2 look barren with no accumulating traffic at intersections.

I just realized and wanted to ask; trams + one way streets = Possible? If this holds the same as the first, then you automatically place both rail directions at once. How will this work with one-way streets? Sorry if this has already come up.
