Cims randomly crossing roads.

As you can see below, cims are randomly crossing a main road with no crossing, there are nodes where they cross and a tram stop between those nodes.
Anyone know if it's the tram stop that's forcing them to do this and/or if there's a solution/workaround?

There's literally 2 at the both ends you can even see one and the other is just out of shot, didn't want to smack another in just for the hell of it....
