As i have read almost everything about CiM 2, I would like to say just one thing, but probably it will be solvedwithout my note:

-When a sim goes from A to B and two or more lines are going there (same time), the sim should use the line, that comes first. -That would be a nice addition, because of making two lines in center with interval 5 minutes and 1 line in suburb with interval 10 minutes. (I am sorry I do not know the english word - branching?) It was in Traffic Giant too.

thanks

i would like to see
an O-Bahn (search o-bahn adelaide if you don't what that is)
and stations that look like a big train station but have two of each stop on each side of road/track please
I would also like to see Centenary Lines on tram tracks and train/metro (if you don't what that is, it is the wires on top of the tracks that touch the pantograph, the device that brings or takes out electrodes to complete the circuit)

This post number is the number of my favorite route that I catch! =D

The most annoying thing about the original was not being able to zoom out far enough. If you are worried about the graphics, cheat don't have as much detail when zoomed out over the entire city, and give the ability to zoom all the way down and see everything that is going on in a very small area.

Tickets: exact change lines; single ride tickets; discounted multi-ride tickets; weekly and monthly passes; setting prices; transfer costs; inter-modal acceptance
of tickets (in New Jersey, USA- busses accept train tickets, but trains do not accept bus tickets, because the train is more expensive, but in New York City, one refillable pass gets you on bus and train.). Obviously the more we control on pricing, the better.

Stations: small stops with a limited amount of lines stopping; depots and transfer points allowing inter-modal transfer and larger amount of lines; major terminals
like Grand Central Station in New York, USA.

I have a suggestion for the game team (CO) in general and not as much in content:

How about some more updates on the state of the game? Some screenshots and some information to spur the community around this awesome game? This forum is a bit dead... It wouldn't hurt to have some mods open some discussions about the game to keep people on the forums and continuously following the progress :)

My request is simply that the game does not lag as much when you have more routes. This made it impossible for me to reach anything like 'endgame', it would always end with me having the city pretty well covered, but wanting to do some more, but the lag wouldn't allow.
So please, make sure performance is prioritized!

I put my money on that this game will be better than CiM 1 performance wise(that doesn't mean it will require less), but a game like this will always take a big demand of your CPU.

About the music (I don't know if it has been mentioned before) but it would be really nice to have several "themes", or a folder where you could put mp3 files and play those in the game. For instance in Paris I would have love some french music like Zaz playing in the background.

or having the option of turning of music...and then you can run winamp or whatever in the background to play mp3s....;)
Seriously, the game needs good in-game music, not an option to play mp3s...

^^ Yeah that would be nice, but I think a folder too put mp3s in are an old fashion way of doing things. They should rather let us choose which folder(s) we want too use.

That would be a great option too.... I just set an example. There should be some improvements in the music department.

In CiM 1 you can lower down the volume up to 0 (I think, didn't tried that myself)

I almost started to develop a serious psychiatry problem of the music in CiM 1.:)
I turned it off and listened to radio in my browser instead. Worked out great, I'm still healthy I believe..

This is a major suggestion in order to make the life of the developers of custom-made cities easier. If it is possible, I would like to see a tool for designing large (or small) blocks of a city generically. Just as in any graphics program, enclose an area and "colour" it with what you would like to see there. If it's parkland, the program will fill it in with trees, grass and bushes, placed randomly. Same for (1) forests (more large trees), (2) high-density residential areas (lots of high-rises) + intermediate residential, suburbia, commercial, industrial and so on. Players can then zoom in and make low-level changes, e.g. destroy a particular building, insert a tree or bush, build a new street. If such a proposal is implemented, it would take much of the drudgery out of creaiting new cities.

We already know that different times of the day will have an influence on our transport network, but will days of the week also? So maybe you can have a special schedule for saturdays and sundays because people don't use the public network to go to work or school, but maybe there are more tourists that need to be transported, etc.

I'm pretty sure I saw or heard something in one of the preview videos about having different timetables at weekends. Can't remember exactly what or where though. :(

I think many people have said what i would like to say about the game and improvements from the last one, although i would like to have the ability to have trams tracks at an intersection, come from the median of the road, diagonally to a off road track.
Also bus and tram lights

Yep, this would be a pretty cool feature.

Also bus and tram lights

Maybe it was just imagination but I think in CiM 1 I recognized the AI traffic yielding to trams and buses in some cases. So there might be a chance to implement this by special traffic lights ... Or even without the lights (or lights just for decoration purposes) it would be pretty useful to have special traffic rights for trams and buses.
