As i have read almost everything about CiM 2, I would like to say just one thing, but probably it will be solvedwithout my note:

-When a sim goes from A to B and two or more lines are going there (same time), the sim should use the line, that comes first. -That would be a nice addition, because of making two lines in center with interval 5 minutes and 1 line in suburb with interval 10 minutes. (I am sorry I do not know the english word - branching?) It was in Traffic Giant too.

thanks

- Replace vehicle without stopping it: I can't imagine myself playing the game with the Replace Vehicles mod. With a huge network its impossible to stop lines to replace vehicles with bad condition and re-balance them all again. I have almost 400 vehicles. This task is impossible.
I wouldn't have thought this would be anywhere near as much of an issue in CiM2. With the addition of depots and timetables, it should be more than easy to just wait and remove/replace vehicles when they are in the depot out of service.

On the other hand. What if on the vehicle management screen the devs could add an option to retire the vehicle? If the vehicle is already in a depot it happens straight away, but if it is out on a route it only happens once it returns to the depot.

This wait and remove is already a lot of trouble. I replace 100 vehicles per time. Imagine looking at each line individually and waiting until they reach the depot. The second option is the best: to set an option and the vehicle will be replaced automatically when reach depot. Or it should be an screen exactly like the Replace Vehicle Mod. A screen with all vehicles and only the necessary information: vehicle condition and a button to purchase a new one.

I'd much prefer a real 24 hour day-night cycle.
I feel it would be impossible to realistically balance a day within just merely 24 minutes -Imagine that in real life!

Remember, players can fast forward so I see no reason not to implement it.
Perhaps, you could skip a day? In the morning a huge welcome to a huge amount of cash.

A talk about metro and water

It would be nice to have some kind of connections for metro rails in water, like in real life: for example, give us the ability to make a tunnel on the bottom of the sea (so not "hollowed out" under the ground, but placed above the seabed) like in the real life. But this is not so useful, what I think would be useful would be a way to let our underground tunnels to exit right in the middle of the sea, like is in the Oresund bridge

The bridge you are linking to is not the Øresund bridge. It looks more like this:

Oresund.ASTER.20040410.jpg

The bridge in your image doesn't even have a railway line.

No matter. However, the Øresund bridge is a intercity rail line, not a metro. They are planning to build a metro across the Sound, but since it will be a metro, they are planning to tunnel all the way, rather than attaching it to a bridge.

I don't know, maybe, but not exactly the same kind of railway lines.

To save alot of hassle, the ability for vehicles to retire themselves and purchase themselves automatically?
Obviously this can be toggled on and off, but, would save you all the micromanagement, which will allow you to focus more on different areas of the game.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned

- Underground Trams & stations (Like Boston's Green Line and San Francisco's Muni Metro)
- Underground Bus Rapid Transit (Like Boston's Silver Line)
- Metro stations with "Express" central rails (Like NYC)
- combo stations (ie Metro to Train, Bus, BRT and/or Tram)
- ability to place multiple station entrances for underground stations (ie place station, then place entrance)

1 - Really needed
2 - We can build road, probably we can build underground road
3 - This is useless, you can make the express line by avoiding the station
4 - I like that
5 - I like that too

2: But we also need to be able to place stops inside tunnels, which in CiM1 required cuttings... also, I don't want cars in my bus tunnel...
3: express rails are actually pretty useful. They also tend to cause less conflicting movements, because currently in CiM1, express rails cause mayhem...

I hope road tunnels will be included? You could have tunnels just for buses or have a road tunnel with dedicated bus lanes alongside the existing lane for regular traffic.

While I'm thinking about tunnels can we please have the option when you are laying out a road tunnel to have bends in underwater sections. At the moment when we want to add a turn or bend in a road tunnel you have to wait to get back on land first and that is really annoying sometimes as it can make the tunnel longer than you might have wanted it to be.

If we get tunnels I think it's quite possible that we can have curves underground too, since we dont have a grid system anymore.

Why should you try to be something other than a negative person?
We try to keep a nice and constructive forum here. At least I think we do that.

What are you talking about?
All I said was, "why should it not be?" clearly stating, in other words "why should we not have curvy tunnels", now what's the matter with you?
Maybe you misunderstood, I do not know, but I am not a negative person. -.-
