For the Arian kingdom, the war was unsuccessful. The army was destroyed in a fortnight, and the first troops of Nohrian and Turan soldiers have already entered Ariane by mid-January. King Ardel I fled from the country, and the provisional government under the underaged Prince Etiénne took the power. The occupation was relatively mild, with abuses and looting prohibited. However, the provisional govenment could only rely on the occupation forces and lost all the control over the situation after they have left. January 18, a truce was signed in Arler. The conditions were severe: over one-fourth of all the territory was seized from the kingdom. Humiliating for the Arians, profitable for the Bloc, it became the spark that inflamed the combustible mixture of Arian society. The very next day city council of Gataro declared non-recognition of the ''traitorous'' government, council of Eingyonne followed them, and by the end of the day the whole country was set on fire of rebellion. Ghanes Oseter, Mayor of Ariane, didn't miss the opportunity to proclaim the Republic. The newly-born ''Republic of the Arian People'', or simply Arian Republic, will soon declare the results of truce of January 18 invalid and again join the war on the side of the Cifrasie League. What awaits the war-destroyed coutry? Can President Oseter reunite splintered society of Arians? Nobody knows for sure.
