so I just finished playing through chronicles, and I must say, I really enjoyed it. it was a fantastic way to pass the time on a long car journey. I DID feel it was a little short for the price (although if you intend to add more stories in the future, at a lower price, then I guess I could justify it being saying I was buying the game, and the future stories are dlc
) and while it has a little replay value, I imagine it will be 2 or 3 plays at most before I'm 100% done with the story. I do have a few questions though.
the "skill checks" if you will, are they actually random, and just weighted based on your previous choices in cunning/prowess/courtliness etc, or is there a fixed, but hidden, number, and you either pass or fail based on past decisions?
What were your intentions when you were developing the story? did you intend to add more stories in the future? I guess that, given the amount of negativity I've seen towards it, and the relatively low number of purchases (on android at least) that you will be reluctant to make further stories?
also, does anyone know of any other games similar to this? I played some "choose-your-own-adventure" books growing up, like the last wolf books, but I'm looking for something closer to CK:C in the way that you play a lord, and have a retinue of soldiers etc. anyone got any suggestions?
TL;DR: probably a little overpriced for what it is right now, but all round a good experience.
