Poking a dead tiger in the eye

Aragon managed to completely destroy Castille army. A great opportunity arises. I start building 3 regiments of infantry and move my fleet to say “Hello” to Castille fleet.
EU3_44.jpg

EU3_45.jpg

EU3_46.jpg

Then the regiments are complete I declare war to Castille.
EU3_47.jpg

Portugal declares war to Castille their ally Aragon joins in. In a quick war Portugal takes two provinces. Sorry but I forgot to take declaration of war and peace screenshots.
EU3_51.jpg

EU3_53.jpg

I capture my first province and finally manage to colonize Tuat.
EU3_54.jpg

EU3_56.jpg

Castille goes bankrupt. Unfortunately I didn’t know what defenders lose almost all morale then a nation goes bankrupt. So I slowly capture Castille provinces.
EU3_57.jpg

Granada declared independence 2 long sieges go to waste. And i capture Granada.
EU3_60.jpg

EU3_61.jpg

I cancel my current mission and get another which asks me to improve relations whit Tunisia. Sultan’s current policy on improving relationship whit different countries is annexation of that country.
EU3_62.jpg

I complete more sieges.
EU3_63.jpg

EU3_64.jpg

EU3_65.jpg

EU3_66.jpg

Peasants see a meteor it could mean one thing Morocco must convert to Christianity.
EU3_67.jpg

A big revolt occurs in Oran.
EU3_70.jpg

I take 2 provinces from Castille. Granada is a rich province and Cadiz will help me to convert to Christianity.
EU3_71.jpg

I finally manage to destroy the big revolt using my whole army.

Enewald: Maybe, but that would be hilarious.

demokratickid: Thank you.

Zimfan: Blame Aragon they stabbed Castille in the heart.

Duke of Wellington: Unfortunately European nations do not like to share their land.

Middelkerke: Why so many people know my secret plans.

Calm before the storm
Part I

I have a slight rebel problem in my newly captured provinces. My army crawls as fast as it can to protect the provinces.
EU3_75-1.jpg

2-10-1417: I advance in production. Moroccan scientists discover half a wheel.
EU3_76.jpg

It seems Tuat produces slaves. One of our goals is complete.
EU3_77.jpg

After 199 days rebels had won the siege. My army wasn’t fast enough. Well that puts a little dent in my grand master plan.
EU3_78.jpg

5-7-1418: Portugal attack Granada. Portugal ally Aragon joins in. Granada is still at war whit Castille. Those poor Grenadians.
EU3_79.jpg

Note to self “Stone ship’s do not fly”.
EU3_80.jpg

We still have a small rebel problem.
EU3_82.jpg

Gibraltar rebels are coming to help Granada province rebels. Rebel AI is quite good.
EU3_84.jpg

Against all odds rebels have lost.
EU3_85.jpg

These rebels are very persistent.
EU3_87.jpg

EU3_90.jpg

24-8-1420: Granada get’s away almost unscratched. Portugal was the leader in war. Granada is still at war whit Castille.
EU3_91.jpg

Sultan thought it was no pants day.
EU3_92.jpg

I get a level 2 tech advisor and I hire him. On other news Castille goes bankrupt… again… It seems Castille solution to everything is to go bankrupt.
EU3_93.jpg

In far away land (fairy land) Byzantine managed to expand, but don’t worry they collapsed several years later.
EU3_94.jpg

Tuat becomes a city. I did not get the message. A bit later I discover Taodeni a.k.a. Tuat 2.
EU3_95.jpg

EU3_96.jpg

Mamluks finally kick out my merchants out of their Cot.
EU3_97.jpg

2-8-1422: I move slider to centralization and get destabilization. Granada is still at war whit Castille. They have some serious relationship problems.
EU3_98.jpg

2-8-1424: I advance in trade, only one more level to go.
EU3_100.jpg

After my army finished clubbing the natives I send my colonist to Taodeni. The first one failed, but the second one succeeded.
EU3_101.jpg

EU3_102.jpg

Taodeni also produces slaves.
EU3_103.jpg

I didn’t notice then Granada made peace whit Castille and I fink it was white peace. Those 2 rebellions are Granada patriots and soon those provinces will defect to Granada.
EU3_104.jpg

I ask Granada for military access and they accept I do not have the screenshot, so a screenshot of France declaring war to England will suffice. I think this is their 123 war.
EU3_105.jpg

3-8-1426: I advance in land technology. A new land boat is created.
EU3_107.jpg

Poor Granada. Now Aragon is attacking them. And guess who joins in. This time Aragon is the leader.
EU3_108.jpg

Portugal conquers Granada and asks a high price of 11 ducats.
EU3_109.jpg

Here is my current advisor situation. I fire my stability advisor and hire level 2 reputation advisor. I was very surprised then I saw that I have a level 1 reputation advisor I don’t remember herring him. My BB at this point is 7.
EU3_110.jpg

Castille is number 2 in inflation raise. Go Castille.
EU3_114.jpg

2-10-1430: Taodeni becomes a city.
EU3_115.jpg

Aragon takes Gibraltar from Granada. Now i border Aragon. I send message to Aragon "Please don't kill me".
EU3_116.jpg

Part II will be posted soon.

Calm before the storm
Part II

I expand my army. You need a big army to get big loans from African nations.
EU3_117.jpg

1-10-1431: I get a level 2 government advisor and hire him.
EU3_118.jpg

Those 3 transports there at sea for couple decades.
EU3_119.jpg

The culture of the spoon is spreading.
EU3_120.jpg

I discover Azawadd. I need to discover province which is next to it.
EU3_121.jpg

That relative was telling a story, then the sultan thought it was no pants day. I take the stability hit.
EU3_122.jpg

1-12-1432: I finally advance in trade. Look out new world. But first I need to get 5 colonists. Then I will change my NI to QftNW.
EU3_124.jpg

The rebel problem in Spain continues to this day. Aragon has a big army in Gibraltar.
EU3_125.jpg

I win the battle previously showed battle, but suddenly a new rebel army pops up and destroys my army.
EU3_126.jpg

2-4-1434: I advance in government. Sultan learns how to speak. African clubbing is postponed due to rebel problem. Fortunately rebel’s fail to capture Granada province.
EU3_127.jpg

EU3_130.jpg

1-1-1436: I Change my NI to QftNW and hire a conquistador. I could move slider, but i am waiting for things to calm down.
EU3_142.jpg

EU3_143.jpg

That is strange. Tripoli seems to have a province in middle of Africa.
EU3_144.jpg

I get military access from Tripoli. Africa continent exploration continues.
EU3_145.jpg

Nothing can stop me now from conquering Africa.

War of two continents
Part I
Everyone goes offensive

Portugal and Aragon send a gift to Sultan. Inside the gift is a note saying “We can”. And there goes my Africa conquest.
EU3_147.jpg

I have 5 regiments of cavalry in Spain. Portugal and Aragon have big navies and my navy consists of 4 big ships, 3 transports and 2 galleys. So 5 regiments in Spain are on their own. I immediately start constructing 2 regiments of Latin cavalry in Spain. Also Portugal has mission to conquer Tangiers I think they will try to transport troops to African continent. In Africa continent I have 6 regiments of cavalry and 4 regiments of infantry (soon to become 1st army). Aragon and Portugal have a bit of WE. Portugal is leader in this war.
EU3_150.jpg

I convert my sultan to a general. He has decent stats. He will be commanding my army (2nd army) in Spain.
EU3_148.jpg

Also I raise war taxes. Whit 0 stability I don’t make a lot of money whit yearly tax. So all spending goes to stability also I start minting a bit more.
EU3_149.jpg

Aragon army in Gibraltar consists of 2 regiments of cavalry and 3 regiments of infantry. My 2nd army goes for the kill. We win the battle and a game of ping-pong begins.
EU3_152.jpg

Portugal transports first troops to Tangiers. My army moves to intercept them.
EU3_154.jpg

2nd army destroys Aragons army and starts to siege Gibraltar.
EU3_155.jpg

Whit a bit of ping-ponging 1st Army destroys invading Portugal army. Aragon transports about 7 thousand troops to Gibraltar and the battle for Spain begins. I send newly built Latin cavalry to help 2nd army.
EU3_158.jpg

Here is a screenshot of me losing the battle for Spain. Aragon is sending more troops. After taking this screenshot I retreat.
EU3_159.jpg

Fortunately 2nd army is fast enough to evade pursuing Aragon troops. Portugal is sending one regiment at a time in hopes to conquer Tangiers.
EU3_160.jpg

While Aragons army’s are busy siegeing my province I decide to siege theirs.
EU3_161.jpg

I discover a small Aragon army defending their homeland. Let the ping-pong begin.
EU3_162.jpg

In Africa continent Portugal transports 3 regiments of infantry which are led by their king.
EU3_167.jpg

I destroy their army but the king escapes by pretending to be a wall. After this battle Portugal stops invading my provinces in Africa continent.
EU3_168.jpg

In Aragons homeland things aren’t going according to plan. Portugal continues using the same tactic of sending one regiment at a time, but this time to protect Aragon. 2nd army fails to rout them. Whit every battle 2nd army becomes smaller and smaller. It seems I will have to retreat again.
EU3_169.jpg

Unnoticed to me Portugal managed to attack my 1 regiment cavalry whit 6 regiments of infantry fortunately this army has only 600 men.
EU3_171.jpg

Aragon wins the first siege of this war.
EU3_172.jpg

I advance in naval technology. Well it seems stone ships do float... for a couple of seconds. Also stability increased, but I am still slowly losing money.
EU3_174.jpg

Aragon wins their second siege. I cancel war tax.
EU3_175.jpg

First peace offer from Aragon. I politely reject.
EU3_176.jpg

Here we can see that Portugal’s 6 regiments army fought to the end.
EU3_178.jpg

2nd army faces more apposition.
EU3_180.jpg

Fez citizens discover that plant’s like water. Sultan finks that Fez citizens are crazy and raises tax.
EU3_181.jpg

2nd army faces even more apposition. I decide to retreat.
EU3_182.jpg

This concludes the first part of this war. I won a lot of battles and managed to increase WE of Portugal and Aragon. Aragon captured two provinces in Spain and parked a big army in my province named Granada (It's a bit confusing to have a nation and a province called Granada). At this point I pause the game to think what to do next.
EU3_183.jpg
