I don't know why paradox never make translations of EU4 to chinese, if you translate, we will buy it!

Translating a game is a major undertaking and there has been several requests for different languages to be added. It is possible we will translate our games more in the future but it remains to be seen since, as mentioned, it's not something you do over the weekend . It's also not cheap and as a company we need to weigh the cost vs profit for any given language (which also means looking at the player base, potential for growth etc).

Sometimes Paradox relies on Community Volunteers (they might get special thanks or goodies) to translate parts of the game in a language where there is a market for it. I believe Hearts of Iron IV had several community volunteers working on translations.

There was also a deal made with Tencent to distribute select Paradox games in China, I'm not sure whether or not this included Chinese translations of the games.

The problem with translations is that it is not a "one off cost", the translated game files still need to be maintained through updates and expansions. Paradox could potentially spend an insane amount of money on translations alone and distribution deals in an attempt globalise their games. Keep in mind this company has grown rapidly in the last few years. It could all easily backfire (as what happens to many empires that grow too quickly) and as soon as you know it, there might not be enough funds to buy bird seeds for Chirpy any more

Also piracy is supposed to be a huge problem in China. I hope the fact that OP didn't register his game is a coincidence. Also "you translate, we will buy it!" is a peculiar choice of words, if 2 million people like it, haven't they already bought It?

With a 2 million fanbase a translation mod made by the players shouldn't be that hard to make.
