Chinese Warlords unification

Usually when you play as Nationalist China or Communist China, you're supposed to unify the country, isn't it? It shouldn't be the same with Sinkiang and the other chinese cliques? I hope they can include that in a future DLC, if that hasn't been featured in the final product, of course.

Both nationalist and commie China have cores on all of China and the devs have hinted at some unique mechanics for the Chinese Civil War. But hopefully future DLC will add some more.

Well a German-allied China seems a little better for Germany than Japan. After all, U.S will come later in the war.

But then you basicly lack any distraction in the east asian sea and wont bind alot if any british ships there.

If the game reached the 50's or the 60's. From 36' to 48' Japan hands down.

A German-chinese alliance can also force a peace treaty between Japan and China with a Japan who keep Mandchuko but can't expand, if Germany want to ally both.

This can also lead to an indirect war, with lend lease and volontary system, or a direct war between Germany, Japan and Nationalist China agaisnt Communist China and the Soviet Union. Could be interesting to see an earlier war during the army purge of Stalin and a Germany who begin the remilitarization and how democratie will react.

Will Japan not invade the British colonies there?

cores are good, but i hope china eventually gets a focus tree that allows them to annex the warlords without declaring war/raising tension. in hoi3 if i unified China i end up getting attacked by the UK cause my threat is so high!

however, annexing Tibet/Sinkiang should raise tension.

If Sinkiang would take over the other cliques, it would become China as a pro-soviet government. (Sinkiang usually is a member of the Comintern as far as i remember playing HOI2)

They become part of the Comintern early in the game in hoi3.

Most of them were loyal to the KMT, as in they flew the flag. (So ingame they should definitely support the ROC in some way rather than just do nothing) I don't know too much though. I'll just bring some support though with @Chukada
