Hi, I am posting this up here to get a wider response, but it is actually a request from the CORE mod.
I have been trying to correctly name and identify Communist Army military units for the 1936 scenario.
I have arrived at some slightly contradictory terms, which I would like to check against somebody who speaks Chinese:
A) I am pretty sure the the three main armies that finished the Long March at various points in time between 1935 and 1936 are correctly called "Fangmianjun" as we already do in CORE (1st, 2nd and 4th Red Army)
B) Apparently "jun" means "army" in the sense of "The Army", "joining the Army"
C) I have fairly consistenly found the term "Bing tuan" to refer both to "Army" and "Corps" as large military units. I have also found the term "Jun tuan" for "Corps"
D) For "division" I have found the term "Shi"
E) For brigade (which we do not really use) I have found "Tuan"
Can anybody help?
