China is terrible in mp and japan is way too good

this is for several reasons to annex warlords china must spend 450 political power per warlord after subjugating them this stops them getting the factories they need to compete with japan.
they have many useless focuses including
has several focuses that give between 10-5% stability which is functionally the same as 2% fac output and minuscule amount of pp and consumer goods while japan gets total mobilisation through a focus and 95% stability at game start
in order to receive help from the usa china must spend 150 pp on a not very good adviser (again 5% stability is functionally worthless) and spend 70 days doing a focus and all the usa can do is send 1500 guns for the price of 25 pp and 2 military factories
china has to do 2 focuses and spend 100 army xp and 90 days per to reduce his army penalties by 1/3rd while japan can just spend 25 pp every month to reduce his and his amy is better anyway so the debuff is nowhere near as crippling.
inflation mechanics that cripple china even more for trying to get factories via focus? honestly the inflation mechanic baffles me why does a nation that historically spent 1937-45 at war have a mechanic to simulate inflation?
logistics trait on generals and field marshals means japan has to worry about supply even less than before.

Before claiming that a country is bad, first ensure that it's not a case of a poor craftsman blaming his tools. Your post talks about PP allocation and focuses, but what of army composition and production priorities? Infantry spam and air superiority works just as well, if not better than it did pre WtT. What did this China focus on? Unless Japan goes all in on CAS/TAC and China has no planes, there is no reason for China to get steamrolled considering the soft attack nerfs. Even if Japan has more production and fewer combat penalties, it doesn't make up for the fact that most '36/'39 equipment fails to punch through org walls without strong air support. It also depends on the lend lease and volunteer rules in this mp group. How much were the Soviets allowed to help?

Because the inflation caused by monetary abuse was devastating to the civil population and a huge problem with the KMT's political base. So this is one of the large number of situations that merit a focus.

Just stop annexing the warlords. Seriously, why is everybody annexing the bloody warlords? They send you like 80 divisions in expeditionary forces, and you don't have to waste equipment and PP to annex them. So just don't do it. Give your generals the guerilla fighter and ambusher traits, because they're incredibly broken. Soft attack got nerfed so hard, you only need support artillery if you're not gonna do offensives. The large river in Shadong makes your defence even better. Ai China loses all the time because they keep attacking, and because they never give their generals ambusher. That's it.
