Honestly I think the buff to china is just a quick fix till they release the next DLC. Still this will make things a lot harder for Japan in MP.

Nah, it will only make allies win even more games than now as Japan will either take China fast and thus wake up USA, or not take China fast just to starve due to the lack of resources. And with no strong Japan US will just destroy Germany.

TBH CzechOPslovakia is OP as well. (That basically extents to all DoD countries)
Czechoslovakia had significant industry (most was inherited from AH empire (which concentrated most industry in Bohemia)), a large, well equipped army with an advanced tank programme (much of the german tanks used for fall Weiss and fall Geib were from Czechoslovakia), and major fortifications along Sudeten frontier. If Chamberlain and Daldaldier didn't back down (and Germany invaded Czechoslovakia), the Germans would not be able to successfully invade. in fact, Austria could have put up a really good fight if they refused Anchluss.

I have seen Japan struggle but continue to naval invade and keep fronts active against China. They closed the gap and won the War by early 1940.

So its a longer war but Japan can still win. I would say China is not a powerhouse based on my observations, but is more capable

The China war should take a long time in my opinion. Japan never did conquer the entire thing.

I don't agree with the sentiment that Japan should always be the victor. Becoming bogged down is the historical occurrence.

-----------

On the flip side, China was never that united. Keeping them split up as warlords would make things more interesting. Keep them separate, and every warlord will have less to spare on advanced things.

Yeah, the one of the biggest issues China had in dealing with Japan was that every one of the warlords wanted to hold back equipment and troops and make their rivals take heavier losses so they'd be well-positioned for when the civil war started back up.

Once East/Southeast Asia gets a look (hopefully next patch...), maybe issues like this will be fixed with unique focus trees. Still, China (Republic of, at least) should have had a focus tree to start. I would have rather had China have one at the start and us get Poland in DoD then having to wait till at least 1.5 for China.
yeah, you will most likely will have to pay for a fking NF tree once again, even worse - since China NFs should have been there since day1.

The problem is that HoI4 AI doesn't accept the concept of stalemate but will always attack until the point of exhaustion.

So the choice here is having either Japan win (eventually) or having China win (eventually), and when you look at it like that China winning (through pushing Japan off the mainland and killing every followup invasion they send) is a much worse outcome since it basically means there never will be a Pacific war and the Soviet never need to worry about a Japanese invasion.

As an agricultural nation, China factories only had produced nearly 1,000,000 rifles during 8 years
I am not familiar with that statistic or which of the various Chinas it covers but at 7 days per week it is 34 rifle/kit per day.

China clearly was 99,5% very very poor at this time. And 99,5% people was living in the mud, in wooden huts, dying for finding some food. It makes no sense to get much industries ! It's just ridiculous and effectively unbalances the Japan-China war, wich I very often see won by China in less time that you'd need to scroll up to zoom over Shangaï....

A thought; what China needs to address rifles is an unlockable Continuous Rifle Production Focus so it can ramp up (double?) what should be a modest level of rifle production by exerting all efforts, but at the cost of waiting on all those other goodies on its focus tree.

This will break most MP games, China is ridiculously overpowered with this industry buff.
Any lend lease from soviet will just ouright delay the war or break japan in half.

For single player who cares it will remain not problematic to break china.

Well historically they were very strong industrially. However the other DoD countries don't seem OP to me at all; Hungary is crippled by the Trianon Treaty (can't even get their handful of starting divisions up to full strenght with the treaty active), Yugoslavia has to deal with the issues of the Croatian and Macedonian minorities and Romania, while starting out strong, has to deal with Russian and Romanian claims to great parts of her territory within a couple of years. Also their party king is a significant debuff.

Yeah, he never got enough! His own ministers bribed him constantly to get his goodwill. He was ridiculously greedy.
