My point was that, if the game ends now, England has quite clearly won. But if we continue, Russia, Germany and even Portugal and Sweden and Spain have a chance at changing that.

Win/loss doesn't really matter in an EU II game. I was just trying to shame Oz into not taking his marbles and going home.

Anyway, what I did agree with was your proposal to continue at least until the holidays. And also, I don't think we should restart while the majority want to keep playing.

It seems me we have a full crew, a game with plenty of life left in it and little chance of starting anew before the holidays anyway.

So why not give it a couple more weeks?
