Apologies if this has already been talked about. I wanted to see if others have experienced this issue. I have noticed that all children with the same mother are born on the same day of a month. An example would be one is born on Feb 13th, another July 13th, and another on September 13th. I often see a lot of kids being born on the same day of the year too. Once had all four kids with the same birthday. This is also happening to AI rulers as well. Anyone else notice this? Thinking it may be worth starting a bug report if it has not already been posted.

I don't know if it's a bug. May be related to the Mother's cycle. But this has been the case for a very long time. Certainly ever since I started playing...
It is an old thing, actually. I have personally noticed for quite a while, maybe several years. I don't think it's a bug per se, but the game checking or running a trigger for the first pregnancy or the like, which causes all of the future pregnancies with the same father to be on the same day (often a different month, though). However, I'm no expert, this is just a semi-educated guess.
I have noticed it since Holy Fury, but it sounds older than that. I def remember it not being like this though. May file a bug report, although it isnt a huge issue. Just takes awat from the randomness, and makes child birth more predictable in game.
I believe it's a side effect of some optimization they did a while back. As such, it is almost certainly WAI.
IIRC it's actually by couple, not by mother; children with different fathers but the same mother will also have different birthdays (a quick check if your wife is cheating on you, BTW).

I thought it had always been this way? it's useful for exposing secret bastards not matching the same birthdate as their siblings.

Gotcha, won't bother with a bug report then. And that's actually a very useful tip.
Is the day the day that they were first married or seduced or something? Because that would make sense.
As @Rubidium said, unfortunately it's actually based on the couple and not the mother alone so spotting bastards is actually dead easy - any kid from the same mother that has a different birth day is an automatic bastard.
