1. You need to actually mention where you are buying it from.
2. GMG lists the game at 40€, not 30 for me.
3. If you get the pre-order from GG(GamersGate), your CK2 + Converter DLC will be GMG as well. GMG results in a Steam version.

If you live in UK then Amazon are doing the most basic version on hard copy (disc) it for £27.83. You'll have to wait till at least 16th of August though and it prob has no DLC.
Right - The last paragraph should have been GG. My bad - The price difference still applies though.

2, my understanding is on GMG its 40$ for everyone? (not like steam, GG, where you paying 'euro' tax)
anyway you get 7$ back or 10$ gmg credit, making its 'effective' cost around 30$ , which is what? 23 euros? big saving in compare with steam if you ask me...
3, i got feeling ppl with GG version must really hate their life sometimes<
Regardless of what your understanding is, GMG lists the game as 40€. So yes, there is "euro-tax" as you put it.
its been 40 on GMG, Gamersgate and Steam for me. Granted I bought it on steam because I got 10% off for owning EU3 on steam reducing the Digital extreme edition to 40.50 euros
living in central Europe myself (and paying in dollars on that site), this is bit confusing, but guess I shouldnt be one to complain...
Greenmangaming, unlike steam allowed me to pay in dollars (I'm from a non-EU european country).
Steam price was 40.5 euros (10% discount) and GMG price was 45 dollars (33.8 euros). I chose the 8 dollars cashback which makes the total price 37 dollars (27.8 euros)
But i still didn't receive CKII :/

But g2play isn't a real preorder in the sense of, you getting the extras. I tell you this because I pre-ordered there Thursday, and I just got a message from them that I will receive my key when the game is out. Unless that somehow counts to Steam as a preorder, I'm getting nothing. No problem for me, really, I already own CK2 and I'll get the converter whenever it's released to the public. Just wanted to tell to others who might have a problem with it. It was the cheapest option for me because of various discounts by points I had there, it only cost me 19€, but I don't think I'll be getting the extras.
GMG will send the code a few days before release,
this is the code you put in steam to activate your pre-order and onyl then will you get the bonuses and CKII,
Use a US proxy on GMG to get the price of $45, then at the time of preorder I also got $8 cashback for a total of $38 or ~£23.
