Yup, the Lombards coming to you help after you forcefully trigger a rebellion by killing Roding of Flanders sure help though, and both of your NAP and Alliance with the Lombards eventually gets dissolved through on-rail events.

Ach! Charlemagne received a blow to the head and became incapable, campaign restarted. Charlemagne was wounded in battle and became maimed, restart! Hildegard is cheating with the Count of Rouen, restart! Some stuff should be hardcoded in Charlemagne! Come on, this is Charlemagne, Hildegard isn't going to be some unfaithful harlot, he is not going to be incapable in battle. There are already plenty of challenges in this campaign, some traits and stuff should defintely be ruled out for Charlemagne.

Oh yet another one, King Karl died at age of 43 of poor health! There's the highly praised longivity of Charlemagne for you!

Charlemagne needs a revamp after conclave release because well, the AI sucks and now its sucks even harder. At least Charlemagne used to be abel to conquer the saxons now he can't even do that so whats the point of Charlemagne DLC if it gets destroyed by an other DLC :/

Now I have to choose between Charlemagne or Conclave :/

I agree, you see, a bit of rebellion, that all makes sense, for example the initial rulers of Aquitaine, they did rebel against Charlemagne, but good ol' Karl crushed them to a pulp. And yet again I had to restart, Karl the Great rested in Christ at the age of 52. -.-

I don't know; I've seen even AI Francia Saxony more often than not, even with Conclave. It's just not as automatic as it used to be.
