You can sort of use paratroopers to get around this. Defeat the enemy conventionally, then paratroops take the province from the air. Your stack then strategically redeploys onto the province.

Trouble is:

1. Your paratroopers might get defeated by enemy counter-attack.
2. Your stack loses half (or so) of its org to take a single province.

I am now micromanaging my Japanese landing parties with my Transport ships instead of moving them over land. They visit every beach in the Pacific :D
But is a pain in the a$$. I can't say your solution (woraround) by using the paratroops is much to my liking. Another micromanaging fest. And paratroops and their transport are expensive too.

I feel the movement rates in the large provinces in Asia, South America, etc. are just way too slow. This and the org loss issue make fighting in these areas virtually impossible. This needs tweaking, it is just no fun this way.

Ah! About naval amphibious assault and transporting armies, in 1.02 I use my navy extensively to project force over the world. Now in 1.03 troops lose something like 75% ORG after unloading. Two months to reorganize. The war is just damn slow even with dominating navy.

While troops landing in an amphibious assault mission lose no ORG, even if they are MOT, INF, MNT, PAR or MIL!!! They are full ORG after taking enemy province.

I don't see a point why landing troops to a friendly province loses so much ORG while landing to a hostile one has them full fighting morale.

This. I can't even bring myself to launch a game anymore....

It really is a shame; 1.03 is a great improvement. But this takes the fun away for me. I do hope the devs alter this in RC2. Fingers crossed.

I feel bad saying it, because the devs seem like really nice blokes who've created an otherwise really brilliant game, but I can't help but feel that it's letting everything down.

Hello there I have seen fit to answer your prayers.

This program will disable the org loss when a unit is *moving* and ONLY when a unit is moving (all other org losses will continue the work as normal).

Hope you find it useful!.

(note it needs .NET 3.5 to run however most peoples windows should already have that by now)

http://uberfox.no-ip.org/OrgLoss.zip

How it works?
It works exactly the same as a trainer you simply open the game then ALT + TAB back to desktop then you run the program it will patch the memory of the game and disable org loss when a unit is moving.

It should make it much more enjoyable playing Japan/China etc.

If you notice any bugs let me know it was made rather quickly due to people just requesting it.....

BTW this does not modify your Darkest Hour at all and does not change your version code it simply patches a location in the games memory and does not modify the exe or game files in any way and once the game is restarted all changes are gone.

Oh i forgot to mention this only works for 1.03RC1 it will not work for 1.02!!!!!

Let me know if you find any bugs or got any suggestions!

Glad to see its working for you.

I considered making org increase as you walk instead of just making it stop decreasing but i think that might make it too easy.... At least now it seems fair and legit (since the ai gets it too)
