Hey guys I am trying to modify my Italian saved game. I have only started it long enough to just try and mod some different things in the saved game. I cannot find where you can change the starting industrial capacity or the leadership for the country. Any help would be great, thank you.

You can best do it in your saved game file - this doesn't mess up any of the permanent game values. All the provinces are there - open the file using Notebook (takes a few seconds) and just use the Find feature under the Edit tab and search for the provinces you want ( owner="ITA" ). Industry, leadership, resources and manpower can be adjusted.

I am having a problem with provinces editing/modifing in HoI 3 with TFH and 4.02. I was playing Polish edition and after 2 years of break I got a German HoI3 Collection. Changed a language to english and as I did for my previous game, I added some polish army leaders (forgotten in original list) including photos (as it worked well with my previous game), edited/added some political leaders (as it worked for my previous game version) and started to edit several provinces (this also worked for my previous game version) and then I was shocked: some changes (20-25%) made to the provinces was accepted and shown on the map while starting game but most of them were ignored and not shown at all. E.q. Wilno (more than 200K inhabitants in 1939) for my game has to have at least manpower 1 and leadership at least 0.10. I've tried to modify this several times using even notepad ++, old and new version of windows notepad etc. I am trying to modify a core for 3-4 provinces belonging to Germany as if for 1936. Did not work at all. Does it matter that I am running Win10? Have to say that the game works fine and the only problem is to make work/appear changes I made to original map and provinces.

A) Necromancy is not allowed. You dredged up an EIGHT YEAR OLD thread.

2) Register your game, and through that have access to the User Mods Subforum.

III) I would use the HoI3 Position Editor (as that allows you to modify provinces without most errors). Or look for other mods (once you've registered your game) and see how they did it, and copy their methodology.
