I'm currently playing as Brandenburg. I am trying to form Prussia. All I need is Ostpreussen, which is now the TO as a OPM. They are guarunteed by mega-poland, Austria, and mega-Bohemia, along with many other nations.

How am I supposed to get that provence?

It does not make game sense for every nation to be guaranteed by every other nation. That makes wars nearly impossible as a smaller nation.

I suggest thast you can only guarantee if:
-you have more prestige than the other nation
-you have relations above 150 with other nation
-you have never borken an alliance with the other nation

I would also make not following the call to arms harsher; in addition to the 25% prestige bonus, perhaps lower legitimacy by 25% and/or raise infamy by several digits, and all of these no matter what the stability cost of accepting the call to arms. After all, you did guarantee them, not say "oh, maybe we will help you if we feel like it."

In addition, I would make guarantees go away with the death of a monarch on either end of the bargain, and also make them dissipate automatically after 10 years. They should also be destroyed if the two conditions I mentioned above are not met.

I know this all probably sounds too harsh, but I really am angry at how TO is guaranteed by around honestly like 20 nations in my current game.

The only nations that are ever "guaranteed by every other nations" are 1PMs. And, yes, it is very annoying.

Guarantees do dissipate naturally, but I am not sure of the mechanics behind that. I think that a guarantee made by nation A will disappear if nation A declares war on somebody.

You could try quickly annexing the TO which a huge assault, and then buying of the war leader? Or get military access from the war leader, and place stacks on their capitals when you send the DoW?

Capturing their capitols won't necessarily buy you peace if they still think they can beat you, especially if they have your armies massively outnumbered. The way to get around guarantees is to involve yourself in wars on their behalf. Though, I suppose being at war with them works too. If you're already an ally or enemy of theirs in an active war, they can't intervene on the T.O.'s behalf. Ideally you could get involved in a war where Austria and Bohemia are fighting Poland, or something like that, then you would be free and clear to pounce on the T.O., assuming the other guaranteers aren't a major threat to you.

Expand your Sphere of Influence to isolate countries from foreign meddling. That's what its there for. Eventually if you can keep them in your sphere all foreign alliance and guarantees will disappear.

A crafty Brandenburg player should ensure that Bohemia and Poland don't get too powerful. Ally with one (or Austria) against the other.

I find that Austria loves to fight Bohemia, as Bohemia loves to fight Poland.
