Let me ask you this: is the flag supposed to be set for any reformation by that culture, or only if not dogmatic, matriarchal or patriarchal? How is renaming of gods done when not matriarchal, patriarchal or dogmatic?
It's suppose to be for any reformation. But I'm trying to parody paradox's code for Germanic paganism, I may have copied something without fully understanding. I've not updated the code for rest of the cultures yet. I'm waiting to get the saxon correct so I can use it as a model.

Still not seeing any obvious problems. I've seen posts about renaming of Hellenic gods isn't working properly, so it may be a Paradox problem, not anything in your code.
I guess I'll have to wait until paradox fixes it on their end. Until then I'll have to remove the code from my mod because it doesn't re-add the gods it should.

I've been wondering if I've been over thinking this. After talking with someone in another post and I realised perhaps I can simply localize gods' names by culture, the same way titles can be, i.e. "DUKE_roman;Dux;;;;;x". The question is how do I get the names in the events to change in that case.

I don't know much about coding but I do know quite a bit about the old germanic religion (or at least, I know a most of what is known, which is not a lot). Some of your names should probably be changed.

Thunor is attested in the Old Saxon baptismal vow as Thunaer, not Thunar. Don't use any kind of accents over the Anglo-Saxon or Old Saxon names, since paradox doesn't either. Freyr should be Saxnot in Old Saxon and either Seaxneat or Ing in Anglo-Saxon, as Freyr literally just means lord (it is a shortened form of 'Lord Ing' or 'Yngvi-Freyr') was never never used as the name of a Pagan god in England. Freyja is the same, meaning 'Lady'. She hasn't been attested undisputedly outside of Scandinavia out there is reason to think the rest of the Germanic people worshipped her. I am personally of the opinion that she is identical to Norse Gefjon or Old English Geofon, so probably use that as her Anglo-Saxon name. Loki is also totally unattested outside Scandinavia so use Ermanaric, a historical figure that is mentioned in Beowulf and seems to have played the same role in the theft of Brisingamen in Anglo-Saxon myth that Loki does in Norse myth. His name is Airmanareiks in Gothic, Eormanric or Eormenric in Old English and Ermenrich in Old High German and would have been Irminrik in Old Saxon and probably something like Ermenrik in Frisian though I know not if the latter two are actually attested. Well if they're a attested I'll use them. Freyr and Freyja simply means "lord" and "lady," so it seems to me like they might be similar to god in Judaism. Perhaps their original names became taboo, but I've not read anything on it. There were a few more event text terms I localized like Valkyrie.
