I'm playing a save from a guy who posted his Paulician Patriarchate save game on Post Your Empire/Funny Pics thread and he had the CB Cooldown rule on and I hate that rule with a passion. I like ruling as a fanatical paulician that over runs the ERE in a decade or less and either succeeds or crashes and burns.

So I was wondering what I had to do to pull that off. I imagine I'd have to mod the save game file somehow.

In the savefile's game_rules section, delete this line: no_cooldowns="on"
The rule will return to its default value of "off".

I found the "game_rules" line (the only one in the file). It was line 11.

However, I couldn't find the "no_cooldowns" line.

It definitely should be there.

What, exactly, are you trying to do?
- If you want to revert the game rule from its non-default state (no cooldowns) to its default state (cooldowns), follow the instructions in my first comment: remove the line no_cooldowns="on" from the game_rules section.
- If you want to change the game rule from its default state (cooldowns) to its non-default state (no cooldowns), just reverse the instructions: add the line no_cooldowns="on" to the game_rules section.
