not sure if ths is the right place to post but on on m laptop with a 1366 by 768 monitor the avatar change gui is to large and so the Okay button is not visible. i belive the gui inst scaling properly

You'll need to zoom out your view, which is usually done by ctrl+scrollwheel. It's a known bug for many laptop resolutions.

I cannot view the entire avatar list, either. Safari doesn't zoom out past how the page sets its boundaries. The scrolling in the avatar list is terrible, too.

Perhaps you should use a proper browser then; Firefox is both good and won't spy on you.
Joke aside I just tested it and at least in Firefox pressing enter does the thing; so try pressing enter if you can't see the button.
Safari doesn't spy on me, and it's a decent browser. And it secures my passwords in the keychain stored encrypted; Firefox is less good at that.
Why do I need a browser to violate the formatting set by the web page to view the web page? If I zoom out enough to see the icon list, I can't actually see the icons because they're now tiny.
It's just bad web page design.
PS, I was able to use Opera to zoom out; the zoom out function in Firefox is iffy at best in comparison.

I am not sure Apple isn't spying on you; also having your passwords stored in a central place isn't necessarily a good idea.
Oh it is a bug and most certainly not WAD. We are just giving workarounds.
And you can pick an avatar before zooming so that the only thing you do while zoomed out is pressing confirm. Or you could use enter.
