I would like to make an event like "Constitutional commission drafts the Basic Law" that would transform the DDR into the FRD. This would eliminate the DDR from the game and transfer all DDR resources, tech tree and units to the FRD. I have no idea how to do this, however, and help would be much appreciated. I'm running Doomsday 1.2.

An event is not really necessary either. If I could modify the game more simply by using the editor or modifying the save file, all the better.

Thanks for any help!

Just insert the command

{ country which = DFR }

Look it up in the event commands.txt.

no, that is the annex event, you don't need to annex anything, unless FRG already exists, then you'll need both commands. Weren't you DDR?

No, actually this was during WWII and only the DDR was around.
The way I ended up doing was probably a lot lamer than anything you guys came up with. I just moded a previous save to give me the one province I needed to liberate the FRG, then I liberated. After that, I just cut the FRG code out of my old game, stuck it over the DDR code in my current game, keeping the units and stockpiles, and then did a find and replace on the whole save to replace any mention of DDR with DFR.
Thanks for the suggestions though.
