So after ruler culture and religion was added to the game the Danish monarch at game start is Bavarian. It's very nice to see this flavour but now everytime a new ruler takes over I get an event giving me +2 unrest in all my Danish provinces for 7 years. Is it possible to change my ruler to Danish culture or will my dynasty slowly become Danish over time?

I know there is an event at the start of the game to get the von Oldenburg dynasty which is Danish but I missed out on that one.
EDIT: Also all my heirs have average claim so they all start at 50 legitimacy hopefully this will change at some point.

Advisors can give you the option to shift your heir's culture to their's but it's a rare event. I'm in the 1700's with my english game and it has only popped up twice. You can also culture shift your entire country, I replaced my idiot Lancasters with Anjous and it gave me the option to culture shift to French eventually via an event.

Interesting. I'm still wondering if there are events to switch religion in this way. I had a consort regency for a bit with an Orthodox consort and I got a decision available to have her convert at the cost of 2 stab. But I'm wondering if there are events to switch the religion of the nation to match that of the ruler...

Culture shift by event is intriguing in itself, though. Could open up some easy if unreliable tag-switch options.

I do like that I put a little more thought into getting my consorts now - given the events to get a half-price advisor. You want your half-price advisors to be right culture and right religion so you can promote them. Half-price level 5s are OP as hell.
