Changing a colonial nation's name

When you customize a subject (subjects tab -> subject -> customize subject) you have to option to change two things, when is the displayed name and the other is... what? It doesn't seem to be the adjective of the people living in the country so what is it?

The second one is the national adjective. You'll see it on your CN's diplomacy screen for instance, when looking at their opinion of you.

They have another national adjective because even though I put "portuguese caribbean" in the national adjective option it said "cuban peasants" for some rebels (The country is called Cuba)
I'll have to check this later myself I guess
