By the way, "Parklife" made me realize that the buildings with the highest tourist appeal are still the "large playground" and the bog standard "small park" building. You can see that on the "Tours" view. Now you don't only have all those tourists come to your city to look at your small playgrounds, no, you can organize walking tours through your tenement areas.

Set your road budget to 50% (only downside is the optional and low impact road maintenance depot produces fewer vehicles). Increase taxes to 11 or 12%. Reduce budget for individual mass transit services then adjust the number of vehicles on each line up manually (many MT types can run at 50% and have more than enough vehicles to meet demand). Use the policies that increase the amount of goods industry/commercial create/sell.

Honestly, Sprites, you can totally pull off a grossly high income with ~8% tax on everyone. The trick is that you simply don't need nearly the amount of city services you'd think.

That's probably what "free to play" weekends like the current one are supposed to help with, so people can see that the base game is perfectly playable on its own. Plus, it's moddable.

Would be really cool to see PI offer the base game for free always, and make their money exclusively on the expansions.

In building cities before Park Life I don't ever remember having this many cims get sick and need more heal care facilities.

Nevermind. I just noticed that apparently the sewage somehow flowed back toward the water pump. Time to fix that.
