mongolia is now playable from 1444

Lol. My link is from 1.6, and I've screenshots of Mongol Khanate in 1.4 and 1.5. Before the scorched earth nerf they could easily solo Oirate Horde, as it was called back then. They've always been playable. 1.7 is slightly harder than 1.6 due to not ending a war with Manchu if you declare on Oirat during it, but only slightly since you can just jump on Oirat at a moment to set up a stack wipe anyway.

Well Russians did colonize much of the Tartars lands, though I'm not sure that is really in line with what Paradox is aiming for with its culture conversion mechanic.

And many people around the world (in places such as the United States, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Turkey, etc) practice traditional events while still being religious (or not). That doesn't (necessarily) make it dubious.

I diplovassalized Catholic Hainaut as Protestant Netherlands, so I'm pretty sure that's mistaken. However, I wonder...is Orthodoxy in the same group as any of the other Christian variants?

EDIT: Yeah, it's in the same group as all of them. Not sure what the guy's problem is.

It is. Otherwise there wouldn't be so many Ottoman HR Emperors out there :)

As far as I know there are individual religions and then there are religious groups. There are no intermediary steps.
So: Orthodox/Catholic/Protestant/Reformed/Coptic all part of Christian.

Yeah, the tooltip says "Must be same religion", but it always has. It actually means religious group -- should probably be changed for clarity.

What your quoted person said is definitely not true. I diplo-vassalized another nation that had Shia as Ottoman Sunni. Religious group would be correct - the tooltip is ( and has been for some time ) wrong in that regard.

Then again perhaps he has run into a bug, that's not impossibe. With tag-switch to Russia certain conditions are wrong mayhap?

Small change, but it looks like the Dutch province names list has been updated so that the names don't default to the Germanic ones anymore (i.e. no more Geldern and Flandern).

Sorry if someone said it and I missed it, but it seems Benign Neglect event now has for the first option, instead of "Trade power +10%", "Trade power +10.00", making the province an Important Centre Of Trade. Is this 1.7, or has it always been there only I never noticed?

Always that way. +10%tax, +10 TP, +10 mp modifier.

It was in 1.6.1.1 and removed? Here's a screenshot from 1.6.2 and I don't see the heir listed:

I leave open the possibility that I'm just blind and missing it (wouldn't be the first time), but I'm not seeing the heir. Another possibility here, I hovered the Coat of Arms for a province in 1.6.2 and it did have stats show up, so that one definitely did exist. Maybe the wrong image quoted?
