Change message settings?

Hi, Previous Paradox titles I have played had the option of changing wether message types would pause the game or not. Seeing that my federation obviously have tried to declare war without me seeing the message, I find that I would like that message to pop up and pause the game, but I cant find the option to do that (in Hearts of Iron 3 you could right click the message and check boxes for what the message should do). Is there any such options, and if not, is there at .txt file I could edit to make it so?

There's no options, which is annoying when you get spammed by messages regarding wars between empires etc or others which you simply do not care about - there is a mod which kills a lot of these pointless messages and also some which add messages, such as when the Federation presidency rotates
