Yes but Padisha emperor has already been used in similar context (Dune) to stellaris, secondly the Despotic Empire-Star Empire can't be all about star wars.

I seriously doubt that the "word" Padishah Emperor is patented, and by that logic Paradox would also need to remove Zro Dust from the game since it's a very obvious reference to melange(Spice).

The use of a certain word in a certain context can be considered part of an IP.

I think you want either Spatium Imperator Or Tractus Imperator. Though someone with more than one term of Latin would be needed to clean that up.

Or maybe Primarch, like in mass effect. I also really like Star Emperor or Celestial Emperor. Also any of the Imperators though personally that's to military. Do we know if there is more than 1 upgrade to the government rank? Cause then we can add more stuff in, and honestly having more ranks makes sense to me

It's kind of hard to beat "Emperor" as a secular majestic title, because it essential means ruler of a large diverse realm or king of kings (or at least, above king).

Examples of other culture's high titles are mostly equivalent in meaning.

The only thing I could think of would be something like "Space Emperor", but that'd be silly. Very silly. Nobody would want that. Nope... [shifty eyes]

Perhaps not monarch but Sovreign? Universal Sovreign? It's a bit descriptive but the fact that itäs a pretty blantant boastfull lie takes the edge of it.

Truth be told it'd be cool if there was a list that every time a government was created it randomized a title from.
