Change "Continue" game to be my current HIP game

Can anyone tell me how to change the default "Continue" game on the CK2 startup screen? It has not shown my current game ever since I installed HIP.

The CK2 startup screen always offers me the opportunity to continue my last saved game... from before I started playing HIP.

Is there some edit that I can make so that the game will point to my latest saved HIP games, wherever they are? This will save me countless hours of going through the Load screen on every start up and I will be eternally grateful.

Open the HIP .mod file and delete the line that starts with user_dir. Any new HIP savefiles will start showing up on the launcher's Continue button. (Warning: This will cause your HIP savefiles to be mixed in the same folder with your vanilla savefiles.)

Hmmm. It hasn't actually changed the Continue game to be my most recent HIP save. Instead, it looks like now the game can't find my HIP saves when I click Play | Load.

Would this fix only work if I started a *new* HIP game after making that change to the HIP.mod file?

(Warning: This will cause your HIP savefiles to be mixed in the same folder with your vanilla savefiles.)

You need to manually move your most recent HIP savefile to the vanilla savefile folder, because that's where your modified .mod file is now looking in-game.
