I'm having a bit of a hard time distinguishing some of the really light colours of some nations, and I think a few of the other nations could use better colors, but I can't find any references to their colors in the victoria files, and nothing on the forums eather, anyone know how to do it? :(

Not all color combinations are already represented in the game, and some colors are given to revolters who you never see. So you're sure to be able to find some new colors that will make it less confusing.

Try playing with Light and Dark versions of every color: LightBrown, Brown, DarkBrown. etc.

According to this, why is Brazil light brown? In the game Brazil is Turquois. Same thing for Baden.

Yeah, the colors don't all seem to work. The purple and Indigo colors, as found out by Mozart41, leave a sort of yellow color instead of whatever they are supposed to be.

Here are my notes from when I was checking the political color assignments during the beta test.

Also note that colorscales.csv is what is referenced in the colorscales column, and that the names cannot be changed or new colors added. The values in colorscales.csv can be changed, of course...

Note, that some of the references may not be correct, now. For example, Prussia had a grey color originally in the beta, but is now the same blue as USA. Similarly, Japan changed from yellow to red.
