A while back raiding, but more specifically raiding events, were changed.
Previously when you'd get a raiding event and selected the option "Bring me bounteous plunder" you'd get the gold straight in your coffers.
Currently the gold from the event gets added to your army loot stack and won't appear in your coffers until the raiding army returns home.
This does a couple of things of importance.
I would like to see a similar thing happen to taking captives.
Currently when you raid/war and you capture someone, they get teleported straight to your jail where you can ransom them immediately.
(Futurely?) Moving forward I'd like the army stack to hold the captive until they are within your sovereign borders.
This does a couple of things of importance.
The main prompt for me wanting this change is that I made 400+ gold by ransoming the same ruler in a single siege because he kept charging my army with small stacks and getting captured 3 times in a row.

This does a couple of things of importance.
- Give targeted nations a chance to recoup their losses by winning a fight against the raiding army.
- Increase the risk of the raiding army losing it's built up loot.
- Decrease the time a raiding army can stay as they will fill up their loot cap faster.

- Decrease the amount amount of gold you can drain from a war target. (or at least increase the effort in order to do so)
