Ambitious. By using the term re-skin, do you have an overall theme in mind, or just a vague sense of "improving" the UI?
hmmm... and interesting proposal.... but one which I may also be able to contribute to.... I have a few ideas of my own... hehehe

In keeping with the tradtitions of the graphic forum, it will be a chaotic free for all
So here's a little something for a start - I've redone the religion sprites so that their color resembles (more or less) the religion map. The idea is not mine (see MDS), but still, I thought it would be nice if implemented. Anyway, they come colored now.

This is a great idea, but unfortunately one in which I will be unable to contribute, aside from offering ideas and suggestions.
First of all, the current EU2 theme is basically a European theme, but really not even that. I would like to suggest that different themes be created for each region/religion/culture/etc. What I mean is, we could create an Islamic theme, a Orthodox theme, Chinese, Japanese, Arabian, well you get the picture.
I could even see how these ideas could be tied into the AGC configurator. You could toggle which theme you want to be activated when you start each game. For example, if you are playing the ottoman empire, you'd like an Islamic or Turkish theme, wouldn't you? But if you wanted to play Byzantium, I would like to toggle on a Orthodox or Greek theme...
Those are just my ideas.

Sure. It gives a new look. Hindu, Buddhist and Reformed colors do not correspond, but I don't see it a grand trouble (they would look ugly otherwise). The thing I like most myself is how religion shields overlap national in religion map now! Looks like country church arms.
