1475? Seems I'll have to step up my game! I guess Mamluks is the new hot thing to try. Will update when I have another run to show off.

To my best knowledge, Mamluks is the best choice.
Actually tech 5 is enough with some imagination
Here is my first try. 1 March 1473
Just so you know, it's not the time to beat. Its 1 march 1473
During my run I got an idea that you didn't need tech 7. You just need lots of admin to boost stab after all the no cbs haha
No need to remind him. Or me. Or yourself. Let's just all agree that 1975 looks better :0
If anyone has pointers for me what to do with Mamluks. I'm 100% incompetent. Every time I touch them I'm only getting stab hits and dead rulers.
Are Mamluks really as easy as a7777777com says? Anyone got a time comparable to his?
I'm not joking btw, all my Mammal attempts ended with a dead run. Not me being to slow or thinking I won't get it but full blown selfkills.
.
Yes, no CB is the key that tech 5 is enough. But I just need 1 no CB war in my Mamluks run.During my run I got an idea that you didn't need tech 7. You just need lots of admin to boost stab after all the no cbs haha
Mamluks is not easy, it is harder than Ottomans, but also faster. Because its position is the best and needs least wars to get ready for the colonies. No need to remind him. Or me. Or yourself. Let's just all agree that 1975 looks better :0

Well after wasting my whole half of my day, all I can say Mamlucks start is really a gamble. It's either pray that your current ruler dies fast without a heir and get a good stat pretender, but will eat low legitmacy. Or pray you get a (good) heir fast and the current ruler don't die fast.
Currently I got only bad luck. In my last try I was making good progress, then suddenly got an heir and next month the ruler died. Had a 15 year regency with a 0/0/0. /sigh. Well the positive side, Ottoman never attacked me.
So basically my run goes like this, attack Yemen, take coast, can't take island yet. Attack fezan take sirt and the Tunis province closest to Iberia. Tech up etc, fabricate on Yemen again, and Cyprus and its worth fabricating on tlemcen to incase you get a good opportunity.
Now once you start exploring it becomes the vassal core game in west Africa, attack Maldives when you have range, from Socotra (whatever the Yemen island is) you shouldn't need tech 7. Attack pasai after you core Maldives you should have range.
Holy fuck that's genius.Well you don't need coring all the way to Oceania.
A hint: You can move your capital to Asia easily, and that is the reason why Mamluks better than Ottomans.
yeah exactly, oceania is the big one, mamluks also can get coring range in africa for new world via a no-CB as well from the start
You see Hejaz and Mamluks usually allies someone in Arabia. You could declare on Hejaz, vassalize Najd, take stuff from hejaz up to lebanon, release them and core around -> reached the mediteranian in one war.I also want to try Ming, but after looking at the range and stuff, you can't get to South America in a decent time
