On Friday 21 of June, 1682 while operating in the Baltic the main Ceylon fleet encountered the Norwegian force which was sunk. Arriving late to aid the Norwegians, the remaining Bohemian galleries were sunk. Bohemia was placed under blockade, no forces could be spared to blockade the Norway.

The admiral in charge of Ceylons home fleet, leaving the country undefended set sailed and sunk a large number of transport before encountering a fleet of warships which were sunk in a quick battle. The Home fleet then sailed back to base for repairs and continual observations.
