Did anyone ever play this game on the megadrive?

Do you remember when you completed the game, if you had been elected ceaser then right at the end you were given all sorts of statistics and numbers e.g. how many battles won, men lost, men killed etc.

Surely if this was possible on the megadrive it would be possible on the pc. This would also allow a form of comparison between players.

Played it in DOS iirc. Good game, if very simple in some respects.

I loved the game, and since I was 13 when I played it, I especially enjoyed diplomatically adding Egypt, since the Land of the Pharaoh's was never enough.

Great game played it on the Amiga 500 and not so long ago found it as abandonware for the PC. It was still good, although the empire building/management is very simple.

Amazing how some games still hold us. StarCon2 is one and Masters of Orion are two I did.

Even the old Caeser games grab me. Sometimes, simple is better.

I love stats, it doesn't matter of what kind either. I can stare at the statistics page in HOI for hours.

I don't know this game but what you describe make me think about the Metaverse, the ranking system where players of Galactic Civilizations submit their results and compare with others. On their forums, you've got little 'medal' icons about how many games won, at which difficulties, and so on. Would be cool to have something like that!

centurion is one of my all time favourite games. i spent weeks with it. it was the first game that allowed me to live through the roman history books i discovered around the same time. oh, those golden days o

Octavian, not the same way that Caesar and Mark Antony did.

Seriously speakin, I think EU2 ledger did have a feature to show how many men did you lose by combat and by attrition.

Oh boy, what a game it was! First strategy I have ever played on PC. Ages before I discovered Paradox treasure chest . I think I was around 12 then. Can believe it was such a long time ago...
