My Hindu monarch has the Brahmacharya -100% chance for a new heir modifier, but he still got a 0 age heir. Did the Maharajah forget his vow to Vishnu, or is it a bug?

Boring explanation: your sibling or uncle had a child.
You're free to envision something more supernatural though, some historical Indian royal houses claimed to descend from a human and a more divine ancestor (a human mother in the case I'm thinking of though and more in the ck2 era).

Edit: didn't read that properly, it may indeed be a bug given the modifier. I'd still consider the above in your case as the damage is already done :)

Is Heir chance additive? You may have had a +heir chance modifier from something else that meant you still had a small chance of an heir. Did you have any royal marriages?
4 royal marriages, that's what did it alright..
with the marriages, it's only a -75 chance to get a new heir.

Though for role playing purposes, I'm sticking with divine intervention.
