Dear paradoxdevelopment,
Your recent tweet where you asked about our funniest demon child moments got me thinking, where is the counter part to him? While we have a evil satanic incarnation, shouldnt there be a holy and devine celestial spawn?
Not only would this be Fun and make sense (at least for me), but also the possebilities to create lore to this Charakter would be limitless.

Ive thought abit about this, for instance dependent of the religion the spawn would be the incarnation of Jesus/Buddha/Mohamed etc. (I'm not realy an expert in that matter).
Additionally as the spawn is the ecxat opposit to the demon spawn it would have all virtues plus other religious traits. It probably would be immune to all sins and genuely be a very nice Person :).
Furthermore it ofcorse would Have some mystical abilities, healing stuff and maybe a holy impragnation? As the devine Messiah shurly would be immune to the female temptation and probably never have children.

As for the lore I believe that there could be some fun stuff:
Both demon and celestial children would always be rivals and Sabotage each other with killing courtiers (demon C.) or making them true believers/ posses them.

Now I dont know if you know John Nieven's book 'The second comming' he tells a story where Jesus is reincarnated, but unfortuatly noone believes him which made people Think that he is mad and insane. (Spoiler:He was later taken care of)
Ofcorse the celestial spawn would have a even harder time in the high middle ages and had to prove that he realy is the real deal. There could be a funny Event Chain which will in the end lead to him beeing canonized by the Pope or anyother religious head or if the AI or thePlayer choses the wrong decision he could end up on the stake or worse (remember Jan Hus, he burnt only for preaching in the common tounge, what would a imposter have to fear?)
Additionally it would only be fair if Jesus would become the head of his own order with its members beeing loyal follower of Jesus. The order could have several different diplomatic actions which mainly have to do with Religion, forinstance Jesus could denounce the pope and Call him a false guide (and then fund a new religion?) or he could simply aprove and nod at the pope etc.
I even thought of the last judgement where both spawns Call for a ultimate war and recieve immense amounts of troops which desides the fate of the World. The winning Side plus their folowers would gain some buffs and the losing Side debufs.

Well thats it I would realy be Happy to see something like that in the game.
Leave your thoughts down here.

+1 totally agree ! Why is everyone so quick to assume that evil exists and can spawn horrific agents of Satan, but good does not exist a so there is zero chance of a messiah/saviour showing up to save us all ?

Due disclosure - I consider myself to be an agnostic/atheist, but it still irks me that society has turned so far away from religion that we always assume the worst and never expect the best.

I think it would be hilarious if the Celestial Child was a pacificst, wants to give peace a chance and introduce human rights. No wars, no execution or torture or anything like it. The players will be howling for blood within a week of release.

I know right, it woud be so fun if the player had the liberty to choose how the new messiah would be ^^

You do realize that the abrshamic faiths dont believe in reincarnation right?
The one exception is the messiah. And for Christians the return of the messiah means the end of the world. For jews the messiah means something else, he's the restorer of their kingdom not a supernatural being. And in Islam they don't even portray Mohammed to make sure he's not worshipped, someone showing up claiming to be him reborn would be lynched.

It simply doesn't work with what these people believe in. Even saints and prophets have no power in their own right they are merely proxies for god.

For a child given by the Abrahamic god(s) I would have suggested blessed, divine or even Messiah. However Messiah and divine would have been seen as blasphemous to other than a heresy.
For pagan religions it could be something like a cultural version of demi-god.
For some of the eastern ones enlighten would be an option, but this would not have been granted by a deity.

Blessed seems like the least controversial option..

I don't see how this fits into the game. what would this "blessed child" actually do except ending up a genious person with 7 virtues? The demon child at least is intresting to play, this blessed child would be a 16 years old copy of what most rulers are ofter 15 years in the Domenican Order, though with increadable stats sue to Genious and statboosts.

Likely, he would been murdered before 17th birthday because most ingame charachters with a disire to kill someone at random would dislike him for a opposite sin trait or 2. :)
