What countries will be player-controlled, then? Seems interesting :)

My mod is much diffrent in scope - I aim to keep SP playable and changes as minimal as possible. I only change few things - disable Ground Attack, halve Naval Strike, make air stacks, enable CAV-III later on. Only big change is carrier warfare - carriers are much weaker in defense (no org bonuses, lower sea defense), but better in Air & Naval attack..

It is the usual countries, Germany, UK, Soviet, Japan, Italy, USA. Depending on how many players that joins the game, other minors will be human controlled.

Well i dont know if it will be available to the puplic, it depends on the Group board. My gues is that it wont be.

We are starting a new game up early september if you want to joins the game i suggest you go and take a look in the multiplayer forum, thread High Command group game A25 i think its called. Edit: added some new stuff to CDCP mod. Among other things i have added 15 sleepminister commands to event 2103 so now all versions of the same minister get sleept. No longer possible to have Weygand as Chief of Staff in Vichy & as Chief of Army in free french at the same time. :cool:

### José Calvo-Sotelo passes away

The SPA death event for José Calvo-Sotelo is messed up.

It is set to trigger on historical date when he was murdered, date = { year = 1936 month = july day = 13 }. But on this date SPA does not exists yet. Its get created on, date = { day = 17 month = july year = 1936 }. So Jose Calvo-Sotelo will be alive and well both as a possible HOS & MOA for SPA but also as MOA for SPR.

Now the problem with this is, that it was the murder on Jose Calvo that where the match that lit the candle for the SCW. So he should not be inluded as a minister in the SPA file in the first place. Since he was already dead when Sanjourno, Franco & the rest revolted.

There are two solutions i think to this.

1. Delete Jose Calvo-Soleto minister entries in SPA file (HOS & MOA). Change the death event to happen for SPR and let it kill the SPR version of MOA Jose Calvo-Sotelo.

2. Move the trigger date to after SCW has started so SPA exists. Add sleep events for the two MOA versions of Jose Calvo-Sotelo.

I would think 1 would be most correct. Are that an acceptable solution ?

EDIT: I also have added sleepcommands for Sanjourno for His HOS & HOG versions in his death event and commented out that event because his death are handled in SPA fascist nation event ID = 3001

I would vote for 1. Two for me is not an option, destroying historical accuracy (meant as chronology here) for no real benefit does not make much sense.

Could be.
Should be tested before we put it in to be absolutely sure we dont mess something up. Since iam not really 100% sure what the Ideal Rank actually does. If it has influence on experience gain for instance it could have some ugly sideeffects.

I guess no one is really 100% sure what it does. Some say it has an effect on xp gain, others don't.

He died on the 20th of July three days after the beginning of the SCW, so I suggest the other way, comment him out in the event 3001 and allow the real death event.

BTW, what about a date change (day-1) for many events, so they trigger on the real day and not one day later?

Example SCW:
is day = 17, so it triggers on the 18th
substract 1 -> day = 16, so it can trigger on the 17th



EDIT: Your new trigger in event 2905 is wrong, should be the same is in event 2034.

Iam pretty sure, that was how Paradox had done it in the beginning. Why they changed it to be handled in the fascist nation event i dont know, i gues it had something to do with the SPA AI always losing. But now that the cede event is working as intended always correctly ceding overseas provinces to SPA. It could be a good idea to see if we can go back to your proposed setup. I will test it and see if it has any adverse effeckt on SPA AI we dont want, if not i agree, the historical way is better.

That would be a natural addition to this mod i think, Good idea. So if i see some or if anyone have correction to date's i will add them.

Omfg. :eek:o I have sucked so bad this last week modding HOI. I have made error upon error in my MP mod and now also a stupid mistake like that in this mod. I will have to make a hotfix for that event.... sigh.... I need a beer.

Thx once again Adukes for prof reading the mod. I really appreciate that, even that it sometimes makes me look a fool. :)

Correct, i found some in the 1945 scenario inc files aswell. Now all forts = 0 with this syntax is removed. I use mass find and replace all, to delete them so if any is still in, it is probably because of some special syntax i havent done a find and replace all for.

Thats is wad i think. If you look on the minister file and sort them by name you will find numerous of duplicate ministers with different ideology. Just a fast way to have ministers especially chiefs of .... for all ideology. It would be safe to assume that Zhukov would have achieved high command regardles if it was communist or a Paternal Autocrat goverment ruling sovjet union.
