Well, not sure if it's the right area to ask this, but will try here. I started an Alexiad game and all went well. Leaded the byzantine empire to fix the great schism and reformed the roman empire. Finished game and all was well. Problem started when I started my newer games.
No matter what catholic leader I choose, it's as if the schism was solved and the ledger doesn't show the catholic religion as existent. My main character start with the option to convert to orthodoxy right away, as if I'm an heretic. All NPCs have no problems with this, but my character is always considered an heretic and get free holy wars against everyone and they do get free holy wars against me too. Even tried starting a game with a muslim leader, crusades worked fine but still no catholicism on ledger, it's as if the religion doesn't exist anymore.
In attempt to fix it, I reinstalled the game couple times, but problem is still there. So was wondering what can I do to solve this problem and avoiding it to happen again? Any clues?
