is there any difference between those 2 religions exept the pope being king vs duke tier?
Sainthood is a lot less easy to get with no monastic order though. They should add one that forms if Fraticelli manages to create their pope.Fraticelli is basically what you go when you want to holy war all the other Christians for fast expansion and still have access to all the juicy stuff like coronation, sainthood, crusaders etc that Catholicism has.

That sounds like it would be both complicated to implement and stupid. Do you propose that everyone in the guild instantly changes their religion with no choice? or that the newly converted guild keeps a membership who virtually all follow a religion it now considers a heresy? Neither option is even remotely satisfactory.I think that holy orders and societies switch allegiance when their faith becomes a heresy and they switch to the new parent.

Much better to create new variant groups for heresies that could use them.
It applies to holy orders when a heresy "takes over" yeah, but does it really go for societies as well?
